About the game
Bumper Cars is the lighter RESQ multiplayer title. It is a fairground ride, not a sim. Pick Classic, Race Car, or Excavator, then either brawl in the arena or run three laps.
Arena holds up to eight cars. Race is two cars, or Private Mode if you want a solo clock. On a phone you get a stick and a boost button. On an iPhone, add a home-screen shortcut so the browser chrome gets out of the way.
How to Play
Race
Oval, Bowtie, and Complex are three laps each. Stay inside the yellow bounds; a shortcut voids the lap. Hit the pit for a health repair between waypoints. Race one other player, or tick Private for a solo practice run. Boards keep the times.
Controls and vehicles
WASD or arrows to drive. Hold Shift to boost when you have charge. On a phone, drag the stick and hold BOOST. Classic is balanced. Race Car is faster and turns harder. Excavator is slower and takes less damage.
Key features
Two games in one
Arena is a scored brawl that can fill with eight cars. Race is three laps of line and timing, with a pit and a shortcut rule.
Three vehicles
Classic is the middle. Race Car trades durability for speed. Excavator is the tank of the fairground: slower, tougher, harder hits.
Phone or desktop
A modern browser is enough. Touch controls appear on phones. No install. This is the multiplayer title that is meant to travel.
Private practice
Private Mode is a solo race against the clock. Public boards are still there when you want company.
